Contracting party
Agreement and operator
Macro by Mark is operated by Mark Jayson Martinez Farol as a sole proprietor based in Nevada, United States. By accessing or using the site, creating an account, saving dashboards, configuring watchlists, using model pages, interacting with Marco, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you use the product on behalf of an organization, classroom, research group, or employer, you are responsible for making sure you have authority to do so and that your use complies with that organization's policies.
Research product
Educational and analytical purpose
The site is provided for economic education, research, structured monitoring, and analytical exploration. It includes public indicator pages, macro reference material, dashboards, watchlists, model explainers, empirical tools, forecasts, simulations, and Marco-assisted product guidance.
Economic data can revise, lag, contain provider errors, disappear from an upstream service, or be interpreted differently by reasonable analysts. You are responsible for checking primary sources, release notes, methods, and assumptions before relying on any output.
Important limits
No investment, legal, tax, or fiduciary advice
Macro by Mark does not provide investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, fiduciary services, broker-dealer services, investment-adviser services, or personalized financial recommendations. Nothing on the site is an offer to buy or sell securities, commodities, crypto assets, derivatives, or any other financial product.
Forecasts, model outputs, policy notes, indicator summaries, and Marco responses are informational aids only. Do not treat them as professional advice, a guarantee of performance, or a substitute for qualified professional judgment.
Marco may discuss macro conditions, scenarios, and risk channels, but it may not tell you what to buy, sell, hold, short, overweight, underweight, or allocate to for your own circumstances.
Access control
Accounts, eligibility, and security
You may need an account to save dashboards, sync watchlists, receive alerts, manage subscriptions, access Pro features, or use administrative tools. You are responsible for the accuracy of account information, the security of your email account, and activity under your account.
You may not share administrative access, bypass authentication, abuse development bypasses, impersonate another user, use another person's account without permission, or attempt to access data outside your own account boundary.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions, billing, and grants
Paid plans are processed through Stripe. Plan names, prices, feature access, billing intervals, trial or promotional access, and paywall availability may change before or after public launch. Stripe's checkout and portal flows govern card collection, billing records, receipts, and payment-method handling.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until canceled. The card you provide at checkout is automatically charged at the start of each renewal period at the regular plan price for that period. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal; cancellation stops future charges and your paid access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Where Macro by Mark offers a free trial or a promotional discount (for example a 100%-off first-month coupon for an academic or networking program), the trial or discount period is stated on the pricing page or in the offer that delivered the code. The plan's payment method is collected at checkout but is not charged during the trial or while the discount covers the invoice in full. At the end of the trial or discount period, the payment method is automatically charged the regular plan price unless the subscription is canceled before then. We send an email reminder approximately 7 days before the first full-price charge on a promo-discounted subscription, and Stripe additionally sends its standard renewal notifications according to its own policy. You can cancel from the customer portal at any point before the charge.
Subscription charges are non-refundable as a default policy. Macro by Mark may, at its sole discretion, issue a full or partial refund, most commonly for an unintended trial or promo conversion where the user contacts us promptly and has not made meaningful use of the paid plan after the conversion. To request consideration, use the contact path on the About page.
Macro by Mark may also grant non-subscription access, including academic lifetime access, admin access, beta access, or other discretionary entitlements. These grants are personal to the account unless the written invitation says otherwise and may be reviewed for misuse, security, or operational error.
Source boundaries
Public data and provider terms
The site displays or connects to public and third-party economic, market, calendar, news, and reference data. Data may come from official statistical agencies, central banks, public data APIs, commercial market-data APIs, or curated product artifacts.
Macro by Mark does not claim ownership of third-party public data. Provider names, datasets, APIs, logos, and source labels remain subject to their own rights, terms, attribution rules, rate limits, availability constraints, and revision practices. A source appearing on the site does not mean that the provider sponsors, endorses, certifies, or approves Macro by Mark.
Analytical limits
Models, forecasts, simulations, and Marco
Model routes, DSGE tools, empirical labs, theoretical explainers, simulations, nowcasts, forecasts, scenarios, and chart annotations are learning and analysis surfaces. They can be incomplete, approximate, experimental, stale, or wrong.
Marco is a product-support and learning aid. It may misstate facts, miss context, or produce incomplete responses. It should not state current indicator values, release dates, forecast results, news items, or private saved records unless the server provides source context for that request, but you must still verify important claims against primary sources and professional judgment.
Saved records
User content and workspace records
You keep responsibility for content, configurations, labels, messages, notes, watchlists, dashboards, and other records you submit or save. You grant Macro by Mark the limited rights needed to store, process, display, sync, secure, troubleshoot, and provide the product features tied to those records.
Do not submit confidential, regulated, proprietary, personal, or sensitive information unless you have authority to do so and the feature is appropriate for that information.
If you send feedback, ideas, corrections, or product suggestions, Macro by Mark may use them without payment or restriction, but you keep ownership of your own underlying content.
Misuse restrictions
Acceptable use
You may not use the site to:
- Break, probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, authorization, rate limits, paywalls, billing, or admin tooling.
- Scrape, crawl, bulk download, or automate requests in a way that burdens the service or violates provider terms.
- Use the site, Marco, or product outputs to train a competing model, replicate the product, or build a substitute service without written permission.
- Upload malicious code, attack infrastructure, exploit vulnerabilities, or compromise another user's account or data.
- Republish Macro by Mark's product-specific copy, design, branding, or original analysis as your own.
- Remove source context, misrepresent outputs, or imply provider endorsement where none exists.
- Use the site unlawfully, deceptively, in violation of sanctions or export-control law, or in a way that violates third-party rights.
Ownership
Intellectual property
Unless a separate license says otherwise, Macro by Mark's brand, site design, interface patterns, product copy, original educational material, code, curated product artifacts, and product-specific analytical surfaces are protected content owned or controlled by the operator.
You may cite and link to public pages for ordinary academic, educational, or professional discussion if you preserve attribution and source context. Broader copying, republication, resale, training-data extraction, or commercial reuse requires written permission unless otherwise allowed by law.
Operations
Availability, changes, and suspension
Macro by Mark may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features, routes, data providers, plans, beta tools, labs, dashboards, or access controls at any time. Some features are experimental, in beta, or dependent on third-party systems.
Accounts or sessions may be suspended, limited, or terminated for security issues, suspected misuse, billing problems, legal risk, product abuse, or violation of these terms.
Legal limits
Warranty disclaimer and liability limits
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, Mark Jayson Martinez Farol disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted access, security, or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, total liability for claims arising from the site or these terms is limited to the greater of 100 USD or the amount you paid Macro by Mark during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

General terms
Changes, assignment, severability, and survival
Material changes to these terms should be reflected by updating the effective date and, where practical, giving notice through the product or email before the change applies to paid users. Macro by Mark may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Sections on no-advice limits, user responsibility, provider terms, intellectual property, liability, indemnity, governing law, and dispute handling survive account closure or termination.
Macro by Mark is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including provider outages, network failures, natural disasters, war, labor disruption, government action, or widespread security events.
Administration
Governing law, age, changes, and contact
These terms are governed by Nevada law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Where venue selection is allowed, disputes are handled in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada. The product is not directed to children under 13.
These terms may be updated as the product changes. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made. Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@macrobymark.com.
