United States
The United States is a continental federal republic of fifty states, the District of Columbia, and five inhabited territories, holding a resident population of about 341.8 million as of July 2025. Its economy is the largest in the world by nominal output, anchored by services, technology, finance, and a goods sector that retains real heft. The U.S. dollar is the leading reserve currency.
